Product Overview

Rigidity, Versatility, and Chip Control

The Haas Notch clamping design features a rugged bridge clamp that locates in a groove molded into the insert, to provide superior resistance to side and radial cutting forces. Haas Notch inserts are available for shallow grooving, light turning, and profiling, as well as threading. The chip control design works in multidirectional turning, as well as radial feed applications, to provide excellent chip evacuation.

The Haas Notch system has a carbide PVD TiAIN-coated grade that is designed to cut a variety of workpiece materials. Versatile design enables one system to handle O.D. and I.D. grooving and threading operations.

NOTE:
Haas Notch inserts can be used in either toolholders or boring bars.

Right-hand Haas Notch toolholders use right-hand inserts. Left-hand Haas Notch toolholders use left-hand inserts.

Right-hand Haas Notch boring bars use left-hand inserts. Left-hand Haas Notch boring bars use right-hand inserts.

Rigid clamping generates locking forces in three directions to hold inserts in place through the toughest cuts.
