Angle Plates

Angle Plates are robust, 90-degree sections of accurately machined material, typically made of cast iron or steel. They offer exceptional flatness and perpendicularity for quick inspections, and can be used to accurately secure and clamp materials that require more complex workholding solutions.

Plate Type

Solid

 

Featureless plate. Preferable for unique workholding setups that require custom sizing or spacing.

Slotted

 

Equipped with predefined slots for easy fixturing and set up.

Plate Style

 

Gusset Angle Plates offer higher strength and rigidity due to the connecting web, or gusset, that joins the opposing plates. The gusset allows greater force to be applied on a surface without compromising perpendicularity.

Webbed Gusset

 

Two small webbed gussets provide higher strength and rigidity. Advantageous when clearance is critical for more complex fastening.

Right-Angle Handle Gusset

 

Have a large, 90-degree gusset with two additional sides finished square and parallel. Provides higher strength and rigidity, and is an ideal reference for quick squaring operations. Also known as a right-angle iron.

Open-Ended

 

Offer ample surface area for an easier application of bolts, nuts, clamps, and other fixturing mechanisms.
