Cut-Off Tooling
Cut-off tools are the most efficient and productive way to separate (part off) machined parts from raw material on lathes. Parting off is required for bar feed operations (so completed parts can be ejected into a parts catcher), and when transferring parts to a sub-spindle for finishing operations.
Haas blade-type cut-off tools feature a self-clamping pocket on each end to securely hold the replaceable carbide inserts without screws or clamps. The overhang is adjustable, allowing these cut-off blades to easily accommodate different part diameters, as well as deep grooving applications.
Advantages
- Suitable for cut-off and deep grooving applications
- Replaceable carbide inserts
- Self-clamping insert pockets
- Adjustable overhang for longer reach
- Narrow cut-off groove reduces material waste
How to Select the Right Tooling Kit
The Haas Tooling Cut-Off Kits are defined by two requirements:
- Size of the tooling used by the lathe turret
- Cutting width of the insert
Use the filters to select the Block Shank Height (H) that corresponds to your turning center, and then select the desired Cutting Width (CW).
