Complete Workholding Solutions – Right Out of the Box

Milling vises are the most popular and versatile workholding solution for CNC machining centers. They are the industry standard for precision milling, offering proven accuracy, and secure workpiece positioning during all machining operations. These high-quality, high precision vises are available directly from us, on HaasTooling.com, or you can order them with your new Haas machine, so you’ll be ready to go when your machine arrives.

And, all Haas milling vises* come with everything you need to start using them immediately. There’s no need to hunt for bolts, T-nuts, or toe clamps – everything is in the box, as applicable.

* Haas by Kurt vises currently do not include mounting hardware.

Single-Station, Fixed-Jaw

Haas fixed-jaw vises are a single-station design, with one stationary jaw and one moveable jaw. These manual milling vises provide secure workpiece clamping and accurate positioning for all machining operations. The simple bolt-on jaws are easily changed or reversed, without disassembling the vise, and the jaws can be attached to the outside ends of the jaw plates to accommodate larger workpieces. Replacement hard jaws, as well as machinable steel and aluminum soft jaws are available.

Each vise includes a vise handle, and all necessary mounting hardware: toe clamps, mounting bolts with flange nuts and T-slot nuts, and alignment keys.*

  • Extra-wide opening
  • One-piece ductile iron body, HRC 45
  • Precision-ground sides allow side mounting (except flange-style)
  • Angle-lock system reduces jaw lift
  • Fixed height simplifies multi-vise setups
  • Includes standard hard jaws

Double-Station, Fixed-Jaw

Haas double-station vises allow you to mount two workpieces in roughly the same workspace as a single-station vise, for high-density workholding. The vises have a stationary center jaw, with two moveable jaws that are adjusted using a single screw. The two clamping stations have the ability to clamp the same or dissimilar sized parts, with repeatable clamping to 0.0002". The simple bolt-on jaws are easily changed or reversed, without disassembling the vise, and the jaws can be attached to the outside ends of the jaw plates to accommodate larger workpieces. Replacement hard jaws, as well as machinable steel and aluminum soft jaws are available. A vise handle is included.

  • Two clamping stations
  • 80,000 psi ductile iron body, with steel components
  • Precision-ground sides allow side mounting
  • Angle-lock system reduces jaw lift
  • Fixed height simplifies multi-vise setups
  • Includes standard hard jaws

Self-Centering

Haas self-centering vises feature compact, low-profile designs that automatically adjust the workpiece to the center of the vise for increased precision and repeatability. The simple bolt-on or drop-in jaws (depending on model) are easily changed or reversed, and feature a serrated gripping surfaces. The serrated teeth provide maximum grip on non-hardened materials. Replacement jaws and inserts are available, including machinable steel and aluminum soft jaws.

  • Compact design
  • Hardened-steel jaws or inserts, with serrations
  • Tool steel construction
  • Replacement hard and soft jaws and inserts available
  • High-accuracy repeatability
  • Includes standard hard jaws or inserts

Fit FOUR (or 5) TriLock Vises On Your VF-2! They Built This Vise to Fit Our Machine.

Bill Ehnstrom with Kurt shows us how they designed the HKTL6SCS vise to fit perfectly inside a Haas VF-2 to give maximum gripping range while still allowing safe clearance for the machine's full work envelope.

New Haas by Kurt TriLock Vises

Bill Ehnstrom from Kurt Workholding gives us all the details on the super versatile TriLock vise that you can find now at HaasTooling.com. There are 6" and 4" models and even a special shorter version of the 6" vise, the HKTL6SCS, designed specifically to fit on the Haas VF-2 with no interference at the front or back of Y-axis travel.

Vise Cleaning and Maintenance

Keep your vise operating smoothly! See how to clean and maintain your vise.

1. Loosen the front screw and remove the floating jaw.
2. Clean out any chips from the nut block inside threads with compressed air. Then blow off the base of the vise.
3. Wipe off the rails and the bottom of the floating jaw. Don’t forget to take out and clean the half-moon spacer in the floating jaw.
4. Grease the half-moon spacer and place it back in the floating jaw. Apply a light coat of machine oil to contact surfaces.
5. Re-seat the floating jaw (be sure to flush it with the rail).
6. Tighten the floating jaw, then back off slightly (as seen in the video).
