TSC VS. Solid Pull Studs

 

TSC Pull Studs:

TSC (through-spindle coolant) pull studs have a hole through the center that allows through-spindle coolant to flow through the toolholder.

 

Solid Pull Studs:

Solid pull studs do not have a hole through the center, and WILL NOT allow through-spindle coolant to flow through the toolholder.

 

 

 

How Our Pull Studs Are Made

Step One:

  • Starts out as 8640 alloy steel (DIN 40NiCrMo2-2).
  • Rough out the general profile on a lathe.

Step Two:

To increase the longevity of our pull studs, each pull stud is heat treated to a minimum of HRC60.

Step Three:

Pull studs are put back on a lathe for finish profiling and threading.

The Final Product:

Lastly, pull studs are inspected, packed, and ready for shipment!
