Universal PVD grade for steel, stainless, cast iron, and heat-resistant super alloys. This titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) coated insert is a superior universal grade for steel, cast iron, heat-resistant super alloys, and stainless steel. The coating and ultra-fine grain provide wear resistance and oxidation resistance. Stable machining results from excellent edge hardness and chipping resistance, although starting surface speeds are not as high as other grades.

 

HS Chip breaker: for machining with low cutting loads. Guarantees long tool life and accurate machining in light cutting, and machining heat-resistant super alloys.

 

MHS Chip breaker: for general milling.
