It is constructed of hardened alloy steel, and designed to hold a variety of arbor-style shell mill and face mill cutters. The drive keys are removable for added versatility. It has a 5.0 in \ 5" cutting diameter, and a 1-1/2" pilot bore, with a 90-degree cutting edge. The negative axial, positive radial-raked cutter body takes 10 parallelogram cutting inserts. The screw-clamp inserts have 4 cutting edges, and are available in grades for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum/non-ferrous materials. Inserts sold separately.

This Haas Square Shoulder 6 Negative Positive (HS6NP) fine-pitch shell mill is a general-purpose cutter that provides favorable surface finishes and improved feed rates due to its positive, wiper-edged trigonal inserts. The cutter geometry provides good combination of machinability and radial cutting edge strength, making it an excellent choice for most applications involving face milling, shoulder milling, and slotting. It has a 5.0 in \ 5" cutting diameter, and a 1-1/2" pilot bore, with a 90-degree cutting edge. The negative axial, positive radial-raked cutter body takes 10 trigon cutting inserts. The screw-clamp inserts have 6 cutting edges, and are available in grades for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum/non-ferrous materials. Inserts sold separately.
