HL-10E-UV, Ultraviolet Laser Marking Machine
The HL-10E-UV is a fully enclosed, ultraviolet (UV) Nd:YVO₄ laser marking system that provides ultra-precise laser marking capabilities on plastics, polymers, and heat-sensitive materials.
Operating at a wavelength of 355nm, the diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser architecture and Nd:YVO₄ crystal gain medium generates a soft, ‘cold-marking’ UV laser beam for delicate, detailed laser marking and surface processing. Due to the short UV wavelength, the laser energy is strongly absorbed by many materials with minimal thermal penetration, enabling high-contrast marking with reduced heat-affected zones.
This machine is most suitable for laser marking and engraving plastics, polymers, glass, ceramics, coated/uncoated metals, and other heat-sensitive or high-detail applications. Heat-sensitive materials possess poor thermal conductivity characteristics, and have a tendency to melt, burn, or warp with excessive or prolonged exposure to heat.
NOTE: The HL-10E-UV has a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal that controls the laser output and cannot be reactivated/deactivated instantaneously, like other laser types. After closing the door to satisfy the safety interlock system, the laser output requires a short period of time (~5s) to restabilize before providing consistent markings. Haas laser markers are designed with safety and compliance in mind. These units meet applicable CE safety standards. However, please note that ETL certification is not currently available. Requirements may vary by location, installation, and customer application, so customers should confirm any site-specific certification needs with their local authority or compliance representative.

Efficient & Powerful Laser Head
Laser machines have three main components: an energy source, a laser medium, and an optical resonator.
The energy source, or pump source, is how a laser produces its energy—typically through laser diodes. This energy is pumped into a laser gain medium that is contained within a reflective, mirrored cavity, known as the optical resonator, which redirects and sustains the laser energy inside the system.
This optical “feedback” or recirculation amplifies the generated light energy into a beam head, consisting of a beam expander and a converging lens, which produces the final, laser beam output.
Ultraviolet laser machines like the HL-10E-UV use a solid-state crystal as the laser medium, most commonly Nd:YVO₄. The crystal is diode-pumped to generate infrared laser light, which is then frequency-converted to produce a 355 nm ultraviolet output. Unlike fiber lasers, UV laser resonators rely on dielectric mirrors rather than fiber-based components to provide the required optical feedback.
UV lasers produce a tightly focused beam with low thermal penetration due to the short wavelength. This allows for precise, high-detail marking with minimal heat input, making UV lasers well suited for applications involving small features, sensitive materials, and surface-level processing rather than high-speed cutting or deep engraving.

Artwork, graphics, decals, and similar elements can be imported in a variety of common vector graphic and image formats; arrange, edit, and even create new vector shapes to best suit your needs.
Within LightBurn, settings like Laser Power, Frequency, Speed, Number of Passes, etc. can be easily adjusted on the fly to optimize the output of your laser.
This comes preinstalled in the HL-50E’s integrated Windows 11 desktop, so no need to hunt for related drivers or software, just import your graphics and start marking!

NOTE: The Haas laser marker includes a lifetime license to LightBurn Pro Laser Control Software. Upon completion of your purchase, a license key to activate the LightBurn software will be sent to the email associated with your account. If you do not receive an email with your license key, please contact [email protected]. DO NOT activate the trial version of the LightBurn software. LightBurn licenses are perpetual, meaning the software works forever, but the included 365-day update period expires after one year. To continue receiving the newest versions after that year, the customer must purchase a new license.
Easy Calibration
Installed a new F-Theta lens and need to recalibrate?
Typically, after setting up a new lens, a laser machine requires recalibration. Fortunately, the HL-10E-UV makes this a pain-free process.
After installing the new lens, simply set up a sample workpiece on the table, and adjust the height of the laser head until the resulting marking is crisp and clear. When the laser head is at the optimal height, loosen the bolts on either laser pointer, so that both pointers mark the same location on the table.

Retighten the bolts, and the two-point laser focus system should be properly calibrated to the new lens. When you switch to a different height workpiece, simply lower the laser lens until the two laser pointers meet again, and the correct lens height will be maintained. Some further adjustment may be required to fine-tune your marking/engraving results.
Different lenses affect your spot size, the depth of focus, laser density, and your effective working area.

Integrated Fume Extractor
Filter out harmful laser fumes and byproducts with the integrated fume extractor.
Many health and safety hazards become present with the fumes generated from laser marking, cutting, and welding machines, with the severity being dependent on the material that is being cut.
Based on an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA), OSHA has specified the permissible exposure limits for the various fumes/dust generated by laser cutting metal materials under OSHA 1910 Subpart Z – Toxic and Hazardous Substances.
The HL-10E-UV’s integrated fume extractor is specifically designed to extract and remove up to 99.97% of the various harmful fumes that are generated from the laser cutting process, and is assembled with four included filter elements:
