Product Overview

Haas Air Compressors - Upgrade to Dry & Clean Air

The Haas 3-in-1 rotary-screw air compressor package – with the compressor and refrigerated air dryer mounted on the 52.8-gallon (200-liter) tank – delivers clean, dry air in a compact footprint that keeps installation costs low.

The 15 hp (11 kW), direct-drive motor and rotary-screw compressor can produce up to 52.8 cfm (1.5 m3/min) of air at 145 psi (10 bar). This is the perfect solution for small- to medium-size shops. It’s typically enough to run up to 10 Haas machines and still have extra capacity for things like additional pneumatic hand tools.

  • Turbo cooling design to keep the compressor cool
  • Oil cooler and aftercooler are separate units
  • Heavy-duty air intake filter
  • Designed for continuous operation
  • Compact footprint with 3-in-1 tank-mounted compressor and dryer
  • Includes necessary oil and filters

Benefits/Features:

  • More energy efficient resulting in long-term cost savings
  • Great for shops with 5-10 Haas machines, plus small pneumatic hand tools
  • Operates best under varying air demands, and when loads are below maximum
  • Provides consistent pressure to every device in your pneumatic system, within 1.5 psi (0.1 bar)

Variable-speed drive (VSD) compressors match the demand for air by varying the speed of the compressor motor. When pressure in the tank is low, the compressor runs at full speed. The motor runs at slower speeds once the pressure reaches a specific value, to maintain a constant pressure. A soft-start system greatly reduces energy surges when the motor starts. The variable-speed drive greatly reduces the number of starts and stops, as well as reduces the energy draw when running at slower speeds. Variable-speed compressors will always be more energy-efficient than fixed-speed compressors, but that efficiency increases when the compressed air drawn from the tank is more intermittent. Variable-speed compressors use electronic controls to limit pressure variation to as little as 1.5 psi (0.1 bar), providing more consistent pressure to every device on your pneumatic system.

Variable-speed compressors also typically have a longer life, because they are not always running at “full speed,” like fixed-speed compressors, which reduces stress on the components throughout the life of the compressor.

High-Efficiency Rotary-Screw Compressor

Haas air compressors are rotary-screw type, and designed to run constantly. They are much quieter than piston air compressors. In fact, the 64 ±3 decibel rating of these compressors puts them in the range of normal conversation.

Refrigerated Air Dryer

As air is compressed it heats up, and any moisture in the air is squeezed out as a mixture of water, oil, and particles. Each Haas air compressor has a built-in refrigerated air dryer that prevents this acidic, oily sludge from entering your air system, where it can corrode pipes, damage pneumatic devices, and even contaminate machine components. The air dryer utilizes R410A refrigerant for superior reliability and high energy efficiency.

Quality Air Filtration

The removal of water, oil, and particles from compressed air is super-important in a machine shop environment. Haas air compressors features three levels of air filtration. The first is the heavy-duty air intake filter element on the compressor. Then, an air/oil separator filter and another air filter are positioned before the outlet. This combination ensures clean, dry air with an oil content of less than or equal to 3 parts per million.

Step-By-Step Installation

Your new Haas air compressor will be delivered directly to your shop (or designated address) in a secure shipping crate, and will require assembly and set up. View the installation guide below.
