Description
This Haas High Positive (HPSM) medium-pitch shell mill is a rigid, multi-purpose cutter for hard-to-cut materials. The high-rake, wi per-edge insert lowers cutting loads at greater cutting depths, while still providing satisfactory surface finishes and improved chip control at higher material removal rates, specifically when applied for copy milling, face milling, helical milling, ramping, shoulder milling, and slotting. It has a 50mm cutting diameter, and a 22mm pilot bore, with a 90-degree cutting edge. The positive axial, positive radial-raked cutter body takes 5 parallelogram cutting inserts. The screw-clamp inserts have 2 cutting edges, and are available in grades for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum/non-ferrous materials. This cutter body is through-tool coolant (TSC) capable, when used in conjunction with a coolant-through arbor screw. Inserts and coolant-through arbor screw sold separately.Download documents
