HAC15-VS, 15HP Variable-Speed Air Compressor, 200L Capacity

Part # 08-2005HAC15-EU-VS, AIR COMP, 15HP, VAR. SPEED
Description
This HAC15-VS, variable-speed air compressor has a 15HP motor, with a 53 gal. capacity, and a 145psi (10bar) maximum working pressure. It is designed to provide dry, filtered, compressed air to CNC machining centers and similar machinery, in order to power moving parts and generate rotational or linear movement where needed. The variable-frequency motor can adjust its motor speed to supply a non-constant rate of compressed air, better matching the real-time air demand of any given system, and lowering overall energy consumption costs.

Fixed-Speed - Constant & High Air Delivery

Benefits/Features:

  • More energy efficient resulting in long-term cost savings
  • Great for shops with 5-10 Haas machines, plus small pneumatic hand tools
  • Operates best under varying air demands, and when loads are below maximum
  • Provides consistent pressure to every device in your pneumatic system, within 1.5 psi (0.1 bar)
  • 12-month parts warranty from ship date, supported by your local Haas Factory Outlet; on-site installation, training, service labor, and travel charges will apply

Haas Air Compressors Include the Following:

  • 1 - Oil filter (09-0965)
  • 1 - Air filter (09-0967)

Variable-speed drive (VSD) compressors match the demand for air by varying the speed of the compressor motor. When pressure in the tank is low, the compressor runs at full speed. The motor runs at slower speeds once the pressure reaches a specific value, to maintain a constant pressure. A soft-start system greatly reduces energy surges when the motor starts. The variable-speed drive greatly reduces the number of starts and stops, as well as reduces the energy draw when running at slower speeds. Variable-speed compressors will always be more energy-efficient than fixed-speed compressors, but that efficiency increases when the compressed air drawn from the tank is more intermittent. Variable-speed compressors use electronic controls to limit pressure variation to as little as 1.5 psi (0.1 bar), providing more consistent pressure to every device on your pneumatic system.

Variable-speed compressors also typically have a longer life, because they are not always running at “full speed,” like fixed-speed compressors, which reduces stress on the components throughout the life of the compressor.

NOTE: Please follow the maintenance schedule listed below.  Also, consult your local municipality's codes for any required annual inspections of the tank itself. Haas compressors are designed with safety and compliance in mind. These units meet applicable CE safety standards, and the compressor tanks are ASME certified. Please note that ETL certification is not currently available for these units; requirements may vary by location, installation, and customer application, so customers should confirm any site-specific certification needs with their local authority or compliance representative.
